Friedhats - El Salvador 48h Miramar *SPECIAL EDITION*
We are working together with Rodolfo from Productor to start, hopefully what is one of many special collaboration projects. They donate the coffee, we donate the roasting and packing and all of the profit is donated to improve the lives of farmers in need.
In this first project we are using the funds to buy solar panels for farm houses in need of electricity.
The coffee for this project is from the famous Miramar farm, but this time it’s the 48 hour fermented version!
Located on the slopes of the Santa Ana Volcano in the Palo Campana region in El Salvador and run by Jamie Catota. It’s made up of Red Bourbon and a little Typica variety and grown at 1650masl. This Productor team processed this coffee themselves, carrying out a 48 hour anaerobic fermentation before drying the cherries on raised beds.
This is the cleaner, brighter little brother of the 120 hour, with notes of dark chocolate, rum raisin and white wine acidity.
Description and pictures from the roasters at Friedhats in Amsterdam.
